UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 240
Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Education held on March 9, 2009 at the Unified District Office. Those present were Board Members Phil Aumick, Bernie Regnier, Mark Whitesell, Rick Bremerman, Don Weiland, Kelli Webb, and Matt Ehrhart; Administrators Richard Harlan, Becky Cheney, Craig Gantenbein. Bill Edwards and Dave Zlab; Clerk Cindy Regnier and 1 visitor.
President Matt Ehrhart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
The agenda for the meeting was adopted with two changes. Motion by Rick Bremerman, seconded by Mark Whitesell. Carried with 7-0 vote.
The consent agenda (February 16, 2009 minutes and checks 43967 through 44104 in the amount of $615,355.25) for the meeting was approved. Motion by Don Weiland, seconded by Kelli Webb. Carried with 7-0 vote.
Motion by Bernie Regnier to allow the use of school gyms by the Benningon Basketball Summer League and to wave the costs providing the profits are returned to the school. Seconded by Don Weiland. Carried with 7-0 vote.
Motion by Don Weiland to approve the 2009-2010 school calendar. Seconded by Mark Whitesell. Carried with 7-0 vote.
Motion by Kelli Webb to authorize the attendance of one out-of-district student at Tescott High School. Seconded by Rick Bremerman. Carried 7-0.
Motion by Don Weiland that the board go into executive session for 15 minutes to discuss personnel. Seconded by Phil Aumick. Carried 7-0. The board went into executive session at 8:35 pm.
The Board reconvened at 8:50 p.m.
Motion by Don Weiland that the board extend the executive session for 25 minutes to discuss personnel. Seconded by Phil Aumick. Carried 7-0. The board went into executive session at 8:50 pm.
The Board reconvened at 9:15 pm.
President Matt Ehrhart adjourned the meeting.
