Sixth Grade Students from Bennington and Tescott explored the Zoom program
on Friday. Zoom is a program which allows students to collaborate from remote
sites. Today’s activity was a get to know you type of activity where students were
given an M & M and depending on the color chosen had to tell something about
themselves, from what is your favorite food, to your favorite activity to do after
school.
“We hope to be able to do collaboration with our friends from Tescott with
science and reading activities”, commented Mr. Piepho. Teachers have already been
planning activities that they can do with their students and are forming plans that
can bring in experts in their subjects, book authors, or even a senator into their
classrooms.
Mr. Rodine and Ms. Patee were excited to see the students response to the Zoom
forum. Ms. Patee was the host for the first of hopefully many collaborations to come
with her students. “Mystery Word Theater might be our first collaboration together
with a classroom setting for our students,” stated Mr. Rodine.
