Doris Cheney has a Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education from Kansas Wesleyan University.  She worked with families and children in her previous occupation as a Wrap Facilitator and Case Manager through Central Kansas Mental Health.  The 2016-2017 school year was her first year of teaching first grade at TescottElementary, which she has truly enjoyed.  She also loves learning new things that can be introduced in the classroom and new ways to teach them to her students.

Doris has two beautiful girls she enjoys spending time with and has been anticipating their new addition, a little boy, in April 2017.  She also enjoys playing a nice round of golf with her husband, when they can, and dancing and listening to music.

I am a lifelong resident of the USD 240 school district, having been raised and educated at Tescott schools, graduating in 1989.  I attended Fort Hays State University and received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Elementary Education. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades at Bennington Elementary since 1994.  My husband Brad and I, also a THS graduate,  reside in Tescott. We are actively involved in church and community activities, and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy gardening, crafting, and watching movies.

Hi I’m Jill Werner.  I am originally from Minneapolis, Kansas where I attended grade school, middle and high school.   I received my Bachelor and Masters degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University.  I have taught third grade in USD 240 for 35 years.

I currently live in Salina, Kansas.  I have one daughter named Cassie.  I attend First Covenant Church in Salina.  I enjoy walking, cooking, spending time with friends and family, teaching art and traveling.  I look forward to a  positive and productive school year with your child.
