Get to know your teacher

I was born and raised in Salina. I graduated from Kansas State with a degree in Elementary Education in 2015. Since then, I have taught 2 years of 1st grade, and 2 years of 3rd grade. I am so excited to be starting my 5th year as an educator in Tescott! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and Golden Retriever, Hattie. On the weekends you can find me running, curling up with a good book, and catching as many K-State football games as possible!

I am a lifelong resident of the USD 240 school district, having been raised and educated at Tescott schools, graduating in 1989.  I attended Fort Hays State University and received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Elementary Education. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades at Bennington Elementary since 1994.  My husband Brad and I, also a THS graduate,  reside in Tescott. We are actively involved in church and community activities, and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy gardening, crafting, and watching movies.

Hi I’m Jill Werner.  I am originally from Minneapolis, Kansas where I attended grade school, middle and high school.   I received my Bachelor and Masters degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University.  I have taught third grade in USD 240 for 35 years.

I currently live in Salina, Kansas.  I have one daughter named Cassie.  I attend First Covenant Church in Salina.  I enjoy walking, cooking, spending time with friends and family, teaching art and traveling.  I look forward to a  positive and productive school year with your child.
