Stuco Happenings:
The THS student council, along with the student organizations from Bennington, Sylvan-Lucas and Lincoln, hosted one of the best motivational speakers they have heard on November 30th at the THS gym. Laymon Hicks, from Tampa, Florida, gave a wonderful presentation about "Get up, Go out, and Go Get it." He engaged his entire audience of 400 the entire time,
while sending the message that everyone has a dream, and they are the only ones that can make it come true. Through his words, he encouraged students and faculty to eliminate the "Weapons of Mass Distraction" in order to prevent their dreams from happening. A big thank you goes out to all of those who attended and helped fund the presentation by Laymon.
The THS Stuco had another successful fall blood drive with many community
members' support as well as student and faculty participation. Thank you to
all that donate and help save lives!
What has now become our yearly fundraiser for the THS Student Council, cookie dough sales were a big success this year! The students sold cookie dough, candles and coffee, which were delivered right before Thanksgiving break. The student council would like to thank all of those who purchased products and supported our funds for the year!
