The K-State Alumni Association is hosting Just For Juniors, a program focused towards high school juniors and their parents. This program encourages students to think about college and how it will differ from high school.
During the program, students learn about making the transition from high school to college life, and K-State students are available to answer questions and offer advice. One activity involves building a college schedule and discussion on time management and involvement on campus.
Parents meet with representatives from the offices of admissions and financial aid. Discussion will focus on college admission requirements, costs and how students can maximize their scholarship opportunities. A drawing for a $100 K-State scholarship will also be held at each event.
A Just For Juniors seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn of Salina on Monday, November 7 from 7:00-8:30 in the evening. Registration forms are available in the counseling office or call 1-800-600-2586 to register. There is no cost for this program. Even students who do not plan to attend K-State will benefit from this program.
