The K-State Alumni Association is hosting a Just For Juniors night. This is a program focused towards high school juniors and their parents that encourages students to think about college and how it will differ from high school.
During the program, students learn about making the transition from high school to college life. K-State students are available to answer questions and offer advice. One activity involves building a college schedule and discussion on time management and involvement on campus.
Parents meet with representatives from the offices of admissions and financial aid. Discussion will focus on college admission requirements, costs and how students can maximize their scholarship opportunities.
Two sessions of this program will be offered this fall. One in Manhattan on October 9 and one in Salina on November 6 at the Holiday Inn. This is a free program and is beneficial to all college bound students, not just those planning to attend KSU. See Mrs. Mick or Mrs. Martin for a registration form.
