
The city of Bennington has experience intermittent loss of water. However, we have been in contact with the city and they have confirmed that they will be using the manual pumps to supply water to residents including the school so that there will be no interruption in service. School will be in session.

We are accepting applications for school bus drivers and subs for the 24-25 school year. If you have interest in obtaining a CDL, we will provide the training and support for every step in that process. You can begin your training now to be fully licensed to drive this next school year. Due to the weather forecast for Sunday, January 14th, the 3:00 Ottawa County Republican Forum has been canceled.

The JH BB games scheduled for tonight have been postponed due to weather predictions. These games will be made up on Monday, Jan 15th. JH BB teams will practice. JH practice will conclude at 3:25pm. HS BB practice will start at 3:25 and will wrap up at approximately 5:00pm.

JH basketball practice will end at 3:25pm today. HS basketball practice will start at 3:25 and will end at 5:00pm. JH wrestling practice will begin and end as originally scheduled.

The HS BB games scheduled for tonight in Sterling have been postponed due to weather. These games will be made up on Friday, Jan 26th.

We are accepting applications for a part time custodian at Bennington Schools. The position requires working 3 hours per school day after school is out at 3:30 during the school year. Bennington Jr High is looking for coaching help in the following areas: JH Girls Basketball Assistant Coach and JH Wrestling Assistant Coach. A Classified Application, background check and health screening are required for employment at USD 240.


Juniors will be taking the ACT Work Keys assessment on Wednesday, October 4. WorkKeys Assessments measure foundational skills required for success in the workplace and help measure the workplace skills that can affect job performance. It is a 3 hour test and will start at 8:15 and go until 11:15 that day. If you have questions, please contact Heather Rook.

Parents of students taking Cloud County College classes for college credit, please make payment or set up a payment plan through your students account by tomorrow, Thursday, August 24 at 4:00pm or your students will be dropped from their classes per CCC policy. I am excited to join the Bennington school family and community. Prior to this year, I served as the K-12 principal in the Southern Lyon County school district for 14 years. Before becoming an administrator, I served as a 9-12 English teacher, coach and sponsor in Moundridge for 14 years.
