I want to personally welcome you to Tescott Schools. We are so excited to have you here! If you are new to the area, here is a little information about us: Tescott Schools is a PK-12 facility in Tescott, KS. We currently serve approximately 160 students. With an average class size of 11, we are able to challenge our students' strengths and support their weaknesses. We are a 1:1 device environment grades 3-12, and we have class sets of iPads at the primary level. With our small class sizes and available technology, our staff has an optimal opportunity to work with your child(ren) to reach their highest potential. We here at Tescott are proud of our over 100 years of history and continue to work diligently to prepare our students for their future!
Curt Graves is starting his second year as principal of Tescott Schools. Curt earned his Bachelor's of Science in Health and Physical Education from Sterling College, Master's of Science in Education Administration from Friends University, and Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri. Dr. Graves spent his first ten years in education teaching PE and Middle School Science at Sterling Jr-Sr High School while coaching numerous different sports. Since then, he has accumulated 19-years experience in administration as a building-level principal (14 years), assistant superintendent (4 years), and superintendent (1 year). Curt's passion for instruction and learning, working with kids, and supporting teachers brings him back to the building-level.
When Curt is not at school or a school function, he is spending time with his two boys and wife. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and family. His favorite holiday is Christmas so be forewarned of his several days of holiday attire!
